The guiding season at the Nigardsbreen Glacier start on May 15th with the short blue ice walk at 11:45

Today it is still a lot snow at the Nigardsbreen but by good weather conditions it is possible with an earlier start of the glacier hikes season. Contact us if more info is needed.

Accommodation in Jostedalen

The school building and lodge "Bretun"

Our school house/lodge "Bretun" is located in Krundalen, a side valley to Jostedalen. It is about 2.5 km from the village center Gjerde, which has shop and petrol station, cafe, hotel and camping sites. It is also close to the glaciers and mountains in Jostedalen.

"Bretun" has accommodation capacity for about 25 persons, shower/toilet, drying room and a washing machine, dining room with kitchen (self catering), dishwasher and a spacious and cozy fireplace lounge. "Bretun" can also be rented out to schools and groups with their own activity program.
