The guiding season at the Nigardsbreen Glacier start on May 15th with the short blue ice walk at 11:45

Today it is still a lot snow at the Nigardsbreen but by good weather conditions it is possible with an earlier start of the glacier hikes season. Contact us if more info is needed.

Nigardsbreen - Blue Ice Family trip

Glacier guiding Nigardsbreen: Blue Ice Family Walk

kamera_symbolThe easy and leisurely Blue Ice family walk (1 hour) on the Nigardsglacier, near the Sognefjord is suitable for all ages from 6 years and up.

You meet the guides by the edge of the Nigardsbreen and will be issued basic equipment. For easy access you can get a ferry from the car park close to the glacier.

Estimate using 45-60 minutes to walk from the car park to the glacier and about 20-30 min. walk from the ferry.

Duration:
1 hour.
Age limit:
Min. 6 years.
Required:
Footwear with low heels, clothing that covers the whole body (no shorts or T-shirts). Children may not be carried.
Price:
Adults NOK 250.- Children NOK 100.-
Tickets: Purchase directly at glacier edge. We accept cash only.
Meeting point: By the edge of the glacier (a small shelter) minimum. 30 min. before tour commences. NB! Calculate on using 40 minutes from the car park to the edge of the glacier.
Reservation: Only possible for groups of 15 or more people.

NB! No private guiding at the Family walk.
