The guiding season at the Nigardsbreen Glacier start on May 15th with the short blue ice walk at 11:45

Today it is still a lot snow at the Nigardsbreen but by good weather conditions it is possible with an earlier start of the glacier hikes season. Contact us if more info is needed.

About Nigardsbreen and the Visitor Centre
In July 2011 the Glacier Visitor Centre ”Breheimsenteret” burned down to the ground. The place to buy and pick up the tickets for all Blue Ice Hikes (except the Family Walk) in the 2012-season will be a big tent located at the car park in front of the Visitor Centre which will be re-opened on May 1st 2013.

Tickets must be bought and collected at the latest one hour before the trip commences. You can reserve tickets beforehand. The Blue Ice Special Trip must be booked at least one day ahead.

Tickets for the Blue Ice Family Trip on the Nigardsbreen must be bought (cash only) from the guides at the edge of the glacier 30 minutes before the trip commences.

Is is only possible to make reservations for the Family Trip for groups of 15 or more. Information on all our actvities and accommodation in Jostedalen can be obtained at the Glacier Visitor Centre.
