The guiding season at the Nigardsbreen Glacier start on May 15th with the short blue ice walk at 11:45

Today it is still a lot snow at the Nigardsbreen but by good weather conditions it is possible with an earlier start of the glacier hikes season. Contact us if more info is needed.

General Terms

General terms and conditions

Booking
The deadline for booking courses and ski trips, is 3 weeks before commencement and 2 days for the mountain guiding in Jotunheimen.
Should you wish to book after the deadline, please call us and check for available spaces.
Bookings are valid when Jostedalen Breførarlag AS (BFL) has received full payment.

Booking a private guide
After a booking is made, we will send you a contract that must be signed and returned by the specified date. The price and the deposit stipulated in the contract are then binding for both parties.

Price calculation
Prices are calculated in accordance with the package offered and are binding. In the event of changes in state duties or transport costs for the ferry, prices will be automatically revised.

Booking cancellations
If a cancellation is made before a booking deadline, the payment will be refunded minus a deduction of NOK 300.- For the period after the booking deadline and up to 14 days prior to commencement, the customer will be refunded 50% of the total payment.

Groups with private guide(s)
If a cancellation is made later than 7 - seven - days before commencement, BFL reserves the right to demand 50% of the total group cost. Group bookings may be reduced by up to 25% if the customer notifies us at the latest 14 days before commencement.

Cancellation of trips/courses
BFL reserves the right to cancel trips or courses due to difficult snow, ice or weather conditions or too few participants. The customer will receive notification of possible cancellation at the latest 7- seven - days before commencement. The entire payment will then be refunded.

Changes
As far as possible, BFL will strive to carry out the specified trips and courses of our program. If necessary however, we reserve the right to change the program. Such changes will not affect prices.

Customer liability
It is up to the customer to decide whether he/she meets the demands that the trip/course specify. The customer is obliged to have the required equipment specified in the course/trip description, and to comply with the advice of the guide/instructor. Should this not occur, the customer may be barred from participation without the right to demand compensation.
The customer accepts full responsibility for his/her safety on all our activities. BFL does not accept responsibility for accidents or injuries which may arise in conjunction with one of our trips/courses.
Customers must sign a declaration of responsibility when the course/trip commences.

Force majeure
In the event of situations outside BFL's control such as fire, natural catastrophes etc, BFL reserves the right to cancel any agreement and accepts no legal liability for claims of damage, personal loss or injury.

THE CUSTOMER IS REPONSIBLE FOR HIS/HER OWN INSURANCEI CASE OF INJURY OR SIKNESS.
