Glacier Course
At the glacier course you will learn how to use crampons, ice axe, rope and other security devices for ice and snow.

kamera_symbolAfter completion of the glacier course, you should be competent enough to travel safely in a rope team over moderately demanding glaciers and icefalls.

In addition to many great trips, you will practice various crevasse rescue techniques, be introduced to ice climbing, and learn how to choose a secure route on ice and snow. Most of the period will be spent doing practical work on different arms of the Jostedalsbreen glacier. During the evening we'll summarise the day's lessons and go through pertinent themes. You will also become acquainted with a number of access points to Jostedalsbreen, for example; we'll work our way up the whole of the Tuftebreen icefall.
