Jostedalen is a west-norwegian community with a thriving local cultural life, magnificent surroundings and not least fantastic glaciers that surround the valley and reach far down the mountainsides. Most well known is the Nigardsbreen, stretching to only 330 metres above sea level before it surrenders to the low-country summer.
