The guiding season at the Nigardsbreen Glacier start on May 15th with the short blue ice walk at 11:45

Today it is still a lot snow at the Nigardsbreen but by good weather conditions it is possible with an earlier start of the glacier hikes season. Contact us if more info is needed.

Mini-Mountaineering Courses

If you do not have the time or opportunity to complete a whole weeks course, you can always take two mini glacier courses spanning two long weekends (each 3 days).

Mini-rock climbing course I
Provides an introduction to rock and mountain climbing in Jostedalen.We end the course with a summit climb to Søre Dyrhaugstind (2072), one of the classic routes and ridge traverses in Jotunheimen.

Mini-rock climbing course II includes rescue techniques on rock, and climbs in the mountains of Jostedalen and in the Hurrungane range such as the classic alpine climb to Store Austabotntind (2204). This course is arranged prior to request.

Mini-glacier course I - "Blue ice section" of one full week glacier course.

Mini-glacier course II - "Snow section" of one full week glacier course.
