Glacier guiding Nigardsbreen: Short Blue Ice Hike

Big, massive and impressive the NIGARDGLACIER pulls down through the valley in Jostedalen near by the Sognefjord.

With help of trained glacier guides, the right equipment and some expert instruction it is no big case to walk on the blue, hard ice.

This is not a very strenuous hike, but the route passes through the blue ice landscape - with towers, pinnacles and crevasses - is not flat and in some parts it climbs quite steep up and down.

Therefore you should be used to walk on easy mountain trails.

The entrance to the exhibition at Breheimsenteret - the Glacier Visitor Centre - is included as well (does not apply to groups).

This hike is suitable for all who want to experience, during a shorter hike, what glacier hiking really is like.
