From middle of June to middle of August, you can use the Glacier Bus. This bus corresponds to all glacier hikes except for the Deluxe Blue Ice Hike.
Starts from Sogndal 8:35 and arrives in Nigardsbreen 10:05 and 11:35.
Returns from Nigardsbreen 16:55 and arrives in Sogndal 18:35.

Before that time or after, it is difficult to get to the glacier by a public bus. We recommend renting a car.

You can rent hiking boots European size 36-48 and gloves, free of charge for all Blue Ice hikes. We do not provide any children’s shoes.
It is not possible to hire clothing or sunglasses, but we are selling cheep sunglasses and rain ponchos on the spot.

For all hikes you should bring some beverages and food.
It is possible buy complete lunch package at Breheimsenteret, the National Park Visitor Centre or you can buy some food at the grocery shop in Gjerde.

Rain is normal weather in our region of Norway. The hikes are cancelled only in exceptional and severe weather conditions or dangerous ice conditions.

If we cancel a hike, you will automatically receive a full refund within 3-5 days for all online bookings. Online tickets can not be refunded from the guides.

We are a mountaineering school/company and offer tours only on rock and ice. We do not offer any help with passenger transportation or travel services. If you need any assistance, please contact a travel agent or a tourist office.

In the high season of July and August, we recommend booking the tickets online a minimum of 3 – 4 days in advance for all hikes.
The Special Blue Ice Hike, the Kids Special hike and the Deluxe Blue Ice Hike are very popular. We recommend booking these hikes as early as possible.

We recommend booking a private hike as early as possible. Private tours are very much in demand. We can not guarantee you will get a guide if you book it only a few days in advance.

There is no public bus from the port in Skjolden to the Nigardsbreen. You need to charter a taxi.
