If yes, then the KIDS SPECIAL is the right choice! The hike is tailormade for parents and their sporty children who want to experience an exciting and various glacier hike and explore the blue ice world of Nigardsbreen Glacier.
This tour is for families with fit children used to hike and love being outdoor. For adults with no children, or almost grown-up children, please choose the Short Blue Ice Hike (min. age 12 years).
The exhibition at Breheimsenteret (the Glacier Visitor Centre) is included.

Nigardsbreen car park at the equipment depot (sign GUIDE) next to the toilets.
Totallly 4 - 4,5 hours, on ice about 1,5 hours.
The total time is calculated as follow:
Boat transport: 15 min. x 2 (waiting for the boat not incl).
Walking to and from the glacier: 1 hour x 2.
Equip/roping up and instruction: approx. 15-30 min.
Glacier hike about 1,5 hour
Children only when accompanied by parents.
Age limit for children tickets: Min. 8 years and max. 14 years.
The approach to the glacier is partly steep (secured with fixed ropes) and can be slippery.
Partly steep terrain in the ice (steps), especially at the entrance.
Warm, wind- and waterproof clothing, sunglasses, lunch package, gloves for the children and trekking boots or solid sport shoes. The clothing must cover the whole body (no shorts or skirts without leggings). More advices about equipment

Adults NOK 620.- and children NOK 520.- incl. glacier equipment and the exhibition at Breheimsenteret.

5-14 pers. NOK 890.-/pers.
Upon request. At a start time between 09:30-13:30 the transportation with the glacier boat t/r is included in the price. Otherwise you have to walk by foot from the glacier and back to the car park. Duration about 1,5 hour (each way).
